This year marks 10 years since VEEM was commissioned to cast the Anzac Bell — a national memorial to honour the centenary of the end of the First World War. The 6.5-tonne bell was poured at our Canning Vale foundry using nearly 10 tonnes of copper and tin sourced within Australia.

In a symbolic gesture linking past to present, gold sovereigns from 1912 and 1914 — representing each Australian State and donated by Mark Creasy — were added to the alloy during the pour. The bell’s surface features frieze panels developed through both 3D printing and traditional pattern-making, highlighting the combined precision and heritage of VEEM’s casting methods.

Installed in The Bell Tower on the Swan River and officially commissioned on Remembrance Day 2018, the Anzac Bell remains one of the largest tuned bells in the Southern Hemisphere. Designed to last over 500 years, it continues to sound in tribute to the families and communities of those who served.
