Last week, VEEM welcomed students from John Wollaston Anglican Community School to our gyro facility in Canning Vale as part of their preparation for the FIRST LEGO League World Championship — the world’s largest STEM competition.
The student team is exploring the application of gyroscopic technology for offshore wind turbine stabilization, and their visit to VEEM provided valuable real-world insight. Our engineers shared how VEEM’s marine gyrostabilizers are designed, manufactured, and used across commercial and defence vessels to enhance stability and operational uptime in dynamic sea conditions.
It was a pleasure to support the next generation of innovators and showcase how VEEM is applying advanced Australian engineering to global challenges. We wish the team the very best as they represent Australia at the international finals in the United States.
