At VEEM, sustainability is built into the way we manufacture. Every stage of production – from in-house alloying and casting to precision machining – operates within one integrated facility, allowing complete control over how materials are used and reused. Non-conforming castings and machining by-products are re-melted or briquetted and returned to the foundry, creating a closed-loop process where virtually nothing becomes waste.
This same principle drives our foundry operations. Each month, VEEM processes around 1,500 tonnes of sand during casting. Advanced reclamation systems now recycle up to 70 percent of that material, while the remaining sand is repurposed with local road base producers – supplying around 600 tonnes each month to Western Australian infrastructure projects and reducing landfill to near zero.
Our commitment to sustainability also extends to the products we design. The VEEM Extreme propeller range, developed through years of research and testing, delivers higher performance with reduced drag and fuel consumption – helping vessel operators lower emissions and operating costs.
