Last week, VEEM welcomed a senior UK delegation to its Canning Vale facility, with representatives from the Royal Navy, UK Ministry of Defence, Submarine Delivery Agency, and the British Consulate-General Perth. VEEM CEO Trevor Raman hosted the group on a tour of VEEM’s foundry operations, giving the delegation a firsthand look at the precision engineering and manufacturing capabilities that support industrial, defence, and maritime industries across the world.

The visit reflects a longstanding relationship between VEEM and the UK defence sector. VEEM has been producing safety-critical components for naval defence programs for over three decades, working alongside partners including BAE Systems, Babcock, and Austal — and Australia’s largest non-ferrous foundry continues to play a meaningful role in the supply chains that underpin allied naval capability.

VEEM looks forward to deepening these partnerships as collaboration between Australia and the United Kingdom in advanced manufacturing and defence continues to grow.
