VEEM Limited (ASX: VEE) exhibited at the Indian Ocean Defence & Security (IODS) Conference and Exhibition 2026 in Perth, joining partners, primes, and the broader Australian defence community across the event. The VEEM stand was a base for conversations on gyrostabilisation, casting and machining capability, and what AUKUS-aligned advanced manufacturing looks like on the ground in Canning Vale.

The event also coincided with a meaningful milestone for VEEM’s contribution to sovereign defence capability. VEEM has attained qualification under the Defence Industry Vendor Qualification (DIVQ) Program – an initiative established by the Australian Submarine Agency in partnership with the US Government and delivered through ASC. The qualification, confirmed by ASC at IODS 2026, makes VEEM eligible to compete for contracts to supply components for the US Navy’s nuclear-powered Virginia Class submarines.

VEEM Chief Executive Officer Trevor Raman said: “VEEM is pleased to have passed the rigorous requirements to enter the US defence supply chain and is now eligible to compete for contracts to supply components for the nuclear-powered Virginia Class fleet. We are grateful to ASC and the ASA for the guidance and look forward to contributing over many years to the construction and sustainment of nuclear-powered submarines.”

Thanks to everyone who stopped by the stand at IODS and took the time to connect. VEEM looks forward to continuing these conversations with the defence community in the months ahead.
